It houses over 4,000 animals from approximately 250 different species, covering an area of 100,000 square meters. The park faithfully recreates 4 distinct animal habitats:
- African savannah houses animals such as water antelopes, ostriches, hyenas, zebras, African elephants, giraffes, and lions;
- Equatorial forest is home to snakes, red buffalo, chimpanzees, gorillas, leopards, hippos, and turtles;
- Wetlands and Kitum Cave this area recreates the setting of Kitum Cave, located in the Mount Elgon National Park in Kenya. In this section, you'll find crocodiles, hippos, pelicans, and some species of poisonous frogs;
- Madagascar a section dedicated to the island of Madagascar, here you can closely observe animals such as flamingos, different species of lemurs, and pelicans.

The Bioparc in Valencia is now one of the most loved attractions in the city. It was built to replace the old Zoo de Valencia, which officially closed on July 31, 2007. The new park was inaugurated and opened to the public just a year later, on February 27, 2008.This zoo is much more modern and advanced compared to its predecessor and, above all, follows the principles of zoo immersion: it is the visitor who enters into the animal's habitat. Barriers have been minimized, and the environments are perfectly recreated to best simulate natural landscapes.It is a place to learn about and connect with the animal world, but also to witness truly unique events: this is where the first aardvark in Spain was born (a nocturnal mammal and the only living species of the order Tubulidentata).
